The Bay Beach Amusement Park

The Bay Beach Amusement Park is a family amusement park located along the shores of Green Bay, Wisconsin. The park is one of only a few in the United States that offers free parking and free admission to guests. Rides are available on a pay-per-ride basis with each ride requiring 1, 2 of 4 tickets. Tickets are reasonably priced at only 25 cents per ticket.

The Bay Beach Amusement Park’s star attraction is the 70 foot Zippin Pippin, a classic wooden rollercoaster that reaches speeds of 40 miles per hour along its course. The coaster opened in 2011 and is based upon the original Zippin Pippin roller coaster that once operated at Libertyland Amusement Park in Memphis, Tennessee. Other major rides in the park include the Yo-Yo swing ride, Scat, Bumper Cars, Scrambler, Tilt-A-Whirl and the Ferris Wheel. The Bay Beach Amusement Park also contains a number of attractions for younger children such as the Chairplane, Pony Ride, Lady Bugs and Merry Go Round.

There are plenty of picnic shelters available for rent at Bay Beach Amusement Park where guests can gather for group or family picnics. There is also a variety of food concessions available at the park with everything from pizza to hamburgers. Of course, a number of delicious treats are also available such as cotton candy, nachos, ice cream and popcorn.

The Bay Beach Amusement Park is generally open from weekends in early May to weekends in early September. The park is open on a daily basis during the summer months with hours on most days from 10 AM to 9 PM. Before planning a day at the park, guests may visit the park’s website for updated information at http://greenbaywi.gov/baybeach/.
